how it works

Drop it. Close the tab. Find it later.

Most notes apps ask you to file the thought while it is still forming. dropt does not. You write like a text — or drop the screenshot you already took. Tags wait until you open Moments. Nothing chats back. One older card can show on the board when you actually look — not a ping that nags you.

  1. 01

    Drop it

One field. Type a thought, paste a screenshot, or both. No notebook picker, no tag prompt, no “what kind of note is this?” Caption is optional — the picture can be the drop.

  2. 02

    It’s already saved

A thought lands on your device immediately. Close the tab. Come back hours later — it is not waiting on a server. A picture needs a connection, then it’s dropped the same way.

  3. 03

    Tags when you look

When you open Moments, dropt reads what you already dropped — your words, and the words in a picture — and adds tags. Not while you type. Not as a chat.

  4. 04

Find it — including one old one

Board, search, calendar, mark a to-do done, archive, export. When you browse Moments, one older moment can show on the board. That is not a push, a digest, or a streak.

What dropt will not do to you

  • No streaks, guilt badges, or “you haven’t written today.”
  • No AI chat interrupting the save.
  • No end-to-end encryption claim — tagging needs readable text.
